ahhh I literally JUST finished setting up my witchcraft blog today, would you mind doing a tarot reading for me?
Okay, so this is super weird. On Sunday afternoon I was doing readings with my sister, and I asked about what I needed to do to live up to my feminist ideals, and I got this exact set of cards, in the same order. I did a bit of maths and the odds of this happening are round about 0.00001314474.
This could just be a coincidence, but it’s possible that a female friend of yours is going to need some protection and support, or that now might be just the time for you to get into feminist activism!
The central card is the Four of Stones, representing Protection, and in this spread refers to the issue. Perhaps somebody you know is in need of your support and defence, or perhaps you will be going through some difficulties and will have to be taking care of yourself. Look out for others, and don’t forget to get plenty of self-care in; protecting others and protecting yourself go hand in hand.
The card to the right is the Eight of Stones, Skill, which represents the action to avoid. The Wildwood Tarot is sometimes difficult to interpret - so many of the cards are so apparently positive, it’s hard to see how they can be something to avoid! Perhaps this card is trying to warn you against getting too involved in a new hobby or project at the expense of your relationships with family and friends: don’t forget to make time for the people you love. If you’ve got something you’re working towards, think about why it matters to you, and be careful to keep your priorities in order.
The card to the left is the Seer, representing the action to take. The Seer represents stillness and wisdom gained from inner contemplation, a mediator that translates intuition and imagination into the observable world. I think she is saying to you that it’s time to let your everyday life and your creative endeavours be guided by your beliefs. Let your beliefs guide your practice, and let both your beliefs and your practice shape the way you behave in daily life. Looks like witchcraft is going to be good for you!
Having thought about the Seer card, I think the Eight of Stones might be there to remind you that witchcraft isn’t just about what you do physically. Remember to focus on the meanings behind your practice, and if you’re getting stressed about buying candles or remembering complicated incantations: don’t worry about it, and don’t spend any time or money that you’re not happy to spend. Witchcraft is a means to an end, and right now, that end is looking after yourself and your loved ones: don’t lose sight of that.
Sorry this reading is super long - this is why I could never do more than three cards! I hope you find it useful, any comments would be hugely appreciated. And send me the URL for your new blog, I’ll give it a follow :)
