The silent powerlines
A lot of pictures! So I decided to take a “Short walk” yesterday and ended up with a long walk instead haha! So I took a walk over to Västerås Power Plant instead of going home! I’ve been reading a lot lately about Power Plants and power/electricity stuff in general. And this facility is really close to where I live, so walking over to it doesn’t take long at all! A bit of info about the power plant! The first part of the power plant got built in 1960 (In Västerås) and after that the facility have just gotten bigger! It’s one of Sweden’s biggest power plants. It produces about 700 GWH Electricity and 1800 GWH District Heating (Fjärrvärme) in a year. And this year the power plant got fossil free! With the new part 7 of the building that only use renewable and recycled fuels! Well, after awhile it started to get real dark lol! And I didn’t feel like walking back through that bushy area home in the dark, So I took the bus to downtown and then another bus home instead haha!
