Official Summary:

‘Shush’ they call it. A drug that sinks you into a state of delusion, warps your perception of everything, and steals your memory as its price. Zuko doesn’t remember touching the stuff, but its effects have left a massive trail of mystery leading right to his feet. With his memory gone, stranded in the middle of the desert, and wrapped up in something nefarious, he doesn’t know where to look for answers. But…asking Katara might be a good start. Zutara.

Chapter 2 is up. 

“Urban legends have a way of spreading through the city like wildfire. People get bored during the dry season and so they latch onto fantastical stories of wayward spirits or mysterious heroes. This time, it looks like the Black Swordsman is the next fix. He’s rumored to be dressed in all black and can move like a shadow in the night. He has the strength of ten men and fighting skills on par with the heroes of old. He wields two flaming blades and, if the stories are true, his eyes glow a deep gold. They say he’s a hero to the people and wherever he shows up, good fortune follows. Even the children are starting to dress up like him as they play in the market streets at night.

It’s probably just nonsense, but…what a spectacle it would be if I could lay my eyes on him.”

Bloodbender by SaberMay

I’ve always had this AU idea in the back of my mind. The first time Katara uses her bending is when the Southern Raiders attack her village and murder her mother. However, instead of waterbending, she bloodbends and kills a handful of Fire Nation soldiers. She’s left in shock at what she’s just done and has to deal with the trauma of both that and losing her mother at the same time. It would have made for some interesting character development.

Katara may or may not have just caught Zuko staring at her. 

I first posted a few months ago that I was working on a fic about Zuko and Katara getting stranded in the desert. I’m still working on it, but, at this rate, it won’t be posted until May. My life is too busy to post it any sooner :’(

Brief story synopsis: Zuko and Katara have managed to get themselves stranded in the middle of the desert. They have no idea how they got there, or what lead them to the sea of sand in the first place. As they search for answers, the only sliver of a clue they have is a single memory Zuko can recall. It’s one he’s almost convinced is a hallucination and one he’s refusing to tell Katara about...

I drew this almost 3 years ago back when I had a cheap version of Photoshop and nothing but an even cheaper mouse to work with. Still equally as crazy about Zutara, though. I'd say I've improved a bit since then.
