Sable shrieked upon realizing she was compromised. Her snow white hair flashed away as she rolled to the left and rose to her feet. No more basement...at least for now. The chase had begun, and hopefully it would last without a less-than savory knick to the flesh—or a hook through the abdomen. Normally it was a courtesy of Sable to yell out the name of the killer so those more experienced could plan their movements easier, but this was no veteran of the fog.

Each breath grew more ragged as Sable attempted to dart off. Occasially she'd looked over her shoulder. Ahead, once the fog coughed up a pallet, she adjusted her trajectory to meet with it. With a final glance back at the killer, Sable ducked forward and pulled down the pallet to create a barrier between her and her aggressors. On the other side, she stared from her temporary safety to get a better look up close.

"A miner!" She shouted from the bottom of her chest, in that tiny window of peace. "It's a miner"!
