im sure youve probably been asked something to this effect before but what would you say are your top five horror movies? (and why you favor them if you feel like elaborating!)

Noroi: The Curse: if you dont mind subtitles (or can speak japanese) this movie rules and every time ive rewatched it its been on youtube in full lmao. its hard to explain but the vibes of this movie just make me sick in the way all good horror does, there are some lingering still shots that give me psychic damage, AND its not bloody or gory almost at all iirc, just EXTREMELY unnerving
The Taking of Deborah Logan: i wouldve listed this one no matter what but now im super obligated to because one of the writers followed me on twitter for some reason so i have to show my support... ANYHOW this one is a GREAT somewhat recent mockumentary and is a LITTLE bloody and extremely visually disturbing in parts but an overall fantastic unpredictable story
The Ritual: i think this ones a netflix original and i only watched it once when it was new so my memory is a little hazy but i adorrrred the monster design and atmosphere and i had the soundtrack in my library for a while before i realized it stressed me out too much, but still amazing soundscaping
The Blair Witch Project: the classic! im sure theres very few people i need to tell about this one but just in case: found footage mockumentary, almost no on-screen blood and gore but a couple descriptions of disturbing stuff, almost all of the horror is that good good shit you never actually see but are always anticipating, definitely shaped my taste in horror as a kid lol
Event Horizon: the two things ive always been the most scared of are space and hell and this is a movie about space hell, gory as fuck and extremely disturbing and definitely left a mark on me at an early age
