Unfortunately, I have to work during the holidays because being a police officer, holidays aren’t exactly generally free times for us. I do plan on at least having dinner, and maybe waking up early for gifts. What about you?

I understand exactly what that’s like. I’m a doctor in emergency medicine. Working in an ER at a hospital means holidays are potential work days. I think I might be having dinner with a coworker’s family since they’ve invited me. I probably won’t have any gifts, though, there really aren’t people to give me things. Did you ask for anything this Christmas?

Continuing with our new little tradition, I would like this Munday to be dedicated to Mari. As many of our members know, Mari has taken up the helm of doing our weekly activity checks. Without her, SABR would have had to close because my academic schedule, teaching, and job impact my amount of free time to run this group, let alone be on the dash. Activity checks take hours, usually between six and eight depending on the size of the group and number of people on hiatus. Her commitment to keeping the group active and running is not unseen or unappreciated. Thank you for your continued hard work and commitment to this community and for working so hard to balance admin duties and your amazing characters, as well as for always being there for us to talk to. Honestly, the amount of advice you have given all of us in the nearly five years we have been open has been invaluable. You continue to encourage us to do research and put our best work forward. Thank you!

I have no clue what that feels like, and if God knows what’s right he won’t ever let me have a child, but I’m glad that your little guy’s home.

I use to think like that too until this happened. Also, he’s not home just yet. Still living it up in the hospital till his weight is up.

I’m not sure the world thanks you for that, but I do. Can you imagine what our mothers would do to either one of us if we let one or the other get her. Now that thought is enough to keep our asses alive. Fucking terrifying thought, that is.
