+ positive, trustworthy
- indecisive, talkative
Sabrina has always been known for her unbridled enthusiasm, ever since she was a little girl, she’d been the one encouraging her friends and refusing to take no for an answer. Perhaps it wasn’t always for the best, but it meant she was never scared of putting herself out there and that took her a long way in life as she grew older. Her enthusiasm has often manifested through chatter. Silence isn’t exactly one of her strong points. Despite spending much of her time pushing others out of their comfort zone, she’s still the one to go to if you need someone to have your back, you can trust her with your life... and that has never changed. Rina is not the greatest at making decisions, however, and that is often her downfall. Her lack of decision making has affected her life more than she ever meant it to, quite frequently leading to things she never meant it to.

Sabrina is an Irish twin, that’s the first thing you should know about her. People often mistake her brother for her actual twin, but she likes to make it very clear that she’s eleven months older than him. Maybe it’s a little pedantic of her, but you’ve got to be clear, haven’t you? Maybe you could consider that one of the main reasons for her insatiable need for attention all the time. She wanted to be noticed, constantly at the forefront of people's minds and making herself known. It was something that would follow her through her entire life, despite the love she had for her brother and wanting him around.
She grew up not really knowing what she wanted to do with her life, but thoroughly enjoying every second. Growing up in Nottingham in the UK, a lot of weekends were spent in the forest, relaxing in nature. She found herself with a love for the outdoors that continues on even now. On a day off she’d rather spend an hour or two out in nature than cooped up indoors.
When she finished high school, she was still questioning the direction in which she wanted to go, so she chose to attend her local college, signing up for numerous courses that could take her any which way when she eventually made a decision. Business management became the big one in the end. She worked a multitude of jobs as she trained, anything from retail to hospitality, a year in a care home and even six months spent on a construction site in the offices. She did a little of everything in her hunt for purpose. She never lost her enthusiasm, though, would bring light everywhere she went, turning up in the morning with a homemade cake and a new flavour tea she’d concocted over the weekend.
At twenty-five, she fell in love. She’d been in love before ( at least, she thought she had, but this was different ). It was unexpected, not something she’d been looking for, but it happened and she was happy... mostly. She found herself constantly wondering if it was what she really wanted, though, confused by the sudden influx of such intense feelings. It blindsided her. But it lasted with the same intensity for almost two years. He kept asking her to marry him, she said no. Her asked her to move in with him, she said no. Her inability to make a decision and fully commit threatened the relationship for months. Eventually she gave in and said yes to his proposals, and plans for the wedding were in full swing; a winter wedding, the weekend closest to Valentine's, romance personified.
The day before, she ran. She couldn’t do it. She made plans with a friend overseas to get out of there and to stay with them for a while, to cool off, to figure out what to do. It wasn’t supposed to be permanent.
That was how she ended up in Merrock. Within six months, she’d taken ownership of a small premises downtown called What’s The Tea? and soon found a sense of happiness she hadn’t known before. Her newly made tea flavours found themselves a home and she brought her very traditional British habits to the small town in Maine. The fight against freshly brewed coffee went on for a while, but she liked to think she eventually brought people around to enjoying a steaming black tea in an oversized cup and saucer instead.
Life since then has been lacking in complications. She lives in the small apartment above her cafe with her pet bunny Peter, named after the very famous Peter Rabbit from Beatrix Potter's tales, of course. Her days are spent serving tea and cake, her nights crocheting or singing karaoke somewhere in town. It’s a simple existence really, but it’s what she wants, for now. She does her best to forget the fact that people will eventually come looking for her. She’ll deal with that when it happens.
