Pressing a cup of tea into the hand of the brooding Russian on her couch, she offered an apologetic smile. "Sorry for not giving you something more exciting. I've got a lot of information to tell you and it's probably best that we both have a clear head for this conversation." Knowing Sacha, there was every chance that he had been drinking before their arrival at her flat, but as he seemed sober enough, May decided that it was best not to ask. She took her seat in the chair opposite, propping her feet on the coffee table between them. Her body language was relaxed, as though she had invited them over to watch a romcom and share a bottle of rosé, but her eyes gave her away. They were alight with excitement, almost mischievous, like a child plotting a prank against a sibling and not a woman organising the kidnap and murder of two people.
"So, I know the little incident with Juno Warden in the warehouse wasn't exactly part of the bombing plan, but it's now part of our next one." To say that it was a surprise to have returned to the boat that night to find they’d acquired a hostage from War was perhaps the understatement of the century, a coincidence bordering on a miracle. The trouble had come in framing the kidnap as something entirely intentional. As per usual, Uriel came up with a creative solution. It was a bold plan; a little unsettling, almost insane, and therefore right up Sacha’s alley. Aside from the issues they had with Jack’s leadership, May had volunteered to be the one to relay their new mission to the Dominion mostly because she’d wanted both their input and their reaction. The spur of the moment kidnap of Juno Warden had now set off something much larger. "Actually, it's largely because of your quick thinking in bringing her in that we’re able to do this. Well, yours and Gwen's, but if I praise her too much then it looks like favouritism, so I'm giving you most of the credit." She grinned, her voice light and teasing. "All this to say, thank you for making this possible. From me and from Uriel. You ready to start?"
