This line implies that Newton is envious of Sackthing to some degree, and it's not hard to see why. Sackthing is loved, has gone on countless adventures, made many friends, and saved entire planets from destruction, all while being a kid. Meanwhile, Newton has few if no friends, dropped out of Popit academy, probably hasn't done much of anything grand, and is a young adult.

Imagine a literally child accomplishing way more than you ever did in your life.

I personally see Newton calling himself a "brave hero" alongside Sackthing is because he wants to be on the same level as them; to feel just as important as they are.
