Jude and Taryn
Okay, this is quick but I keep seeing art of Jude and Taryn where they are too beautiful. These girls stick out from the fey because they are curvier, less willow-y. Still beautiful, obviously, to catch the attention of the court. But their hair is unkempt, their eyebrows imperfect. They have lines under their eyes. They don’t have perfectly sculpted faces. They are human. Beautifully human.
Jude and Taryn are alike and can pass as the other but there are a lot of differences. I picture Jude has a more hardened look, more worried, more unkempt. And Taryn is more put together, blends easier in with her makeup and upkeep. Her hair is slightly more in place.
Again, this was quick... >30 mins. I’d like to spend more time exploring their characters’ looks.
Did this one a year ago but still a favorite of mine.

HALF BLOOD PRINCE // CHAPTER 5 // HORACE SLUGHORN
Loved reading this scene. I couldn’t help but laugh, picturing dumbledore on the toilet with the seat closed and door cracked open, half reading the knitting magazine and half listening to hear at which point Harry had convinced Slughorn to come back to Hogwarts;
------------
“And I suppose one could argue that as I have not joined the Death Eaters, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named can hardly count me a friend . . . in which case, I might well be safer a little closer to Albus. . . . I cannot pretend that Amelia Bones’s death did not shake me. . . . If she, with all her Ministry contacts and protection . . .”
Dumbledore reentered the room and Slughorn jumped as though he had forgotten he was in the house. “Oh, there you are, Albus,” he said. “You’ve been a very long time. Upset stomach?”
“No, I was merely reading the Muggle magazines,” said Dumbledore. “I do love knitting patterns. Well, Harry, we have trespassed upon Horace’s hospitality quite long enough; I think it is time for us to leave.”
