old drawing from 2019: MG’s best friend, Larae, Corvowary the deerling, and Darmanitan.
Larae has sacral agenesis, or caudal regression syndrome. She does not have legs. She likes to walk using her arms, wheelchair, and skateboard.
Kaycee Marshall(23 years old) is an amazing model and fashion designer from Indiana.
Kaycee was born with a congenital condition called Sacral Agenesis. In her case, her spine never formed below her eleventh thoracic vertebrae, causing complete paraplegia, underdeveloped legs and severe scoliosis.
From the time Kaycee was a little girl dressing her dolls up in miniature sized clothes, she knew she wanted to be a fashion designer. She was even further encouraged in becoming so, due to the fact that she regularly struggled to find a dress that worked for her body and her wheelchair. Let alone a dress that she loved...
After high school, Kaycee started at the Kent State University, School of Fashion, in Ohio, from which she graduated in 2019.
She now lives in New York City and works for JUNIPERunltd, a company specialized in adaptive fashion and accessories design.
Kaycee overcame several obstacles on her road in becoming the successful fashion designer which she now is. At first, for example, she operated the foot pedals on her home sewing machine with her hands. Of course, this was really inconvenient from time to time. That's why she decided to purchase a beautiful power chair that could go up and down. She then could rest her legs on both the sewing machine pedals and push her legs down with her hands to operate them.
Kaycee wrote some amazing blogs about her life which you can find through the link down below. You can also visit her Instagram page by clicking right here!
