Costa Rica with Beloved ~

Ash attended a sacred aya journey in the mountain range while I joined sisters for a women's ceremony. We gathered in sacred song, holding our intentions in reverence and danced to the beat of our drums.

Received this beautiful drum from my beloved. Her name is Flora Bella which is Spanish for Beautiful Flowers. We received her at an artisan shop in Uvita and she is hand painted with henna from a local artist. My intention is to weave song and prayer with this drum.

Wolf on a Bus - Drum Bag

I usually avoid public transit. Social anxiety caused by wolf’s instinct to be wary of humans means that I do not enjoy a small confined space filled with them. Buses are also loud and often smell of rubber and oil. Weird human stench I don’t mind so much. Wolves like strong, weird smells, but sometimes a lot of sensory input like that can’t be handled by my wolf/human brain. However, I must go find fabric and other materials for crafting a drum bag. Last Saturday I attended a workshop at which I built a sacred hand drum made of birch wood and deer skin. Next Saturday will be the birthing of the drum. Putting aside my anxiety and fear is a test that the Spirits are giving me it seems. They told me there must be a drum bag.
