I'm in the middle of a run of Sacred Echoes right now and I got to the the added support between Silque and Kliff in which they discover they're actually step-siblings?!? May be not canon but I think I'm going to adopt that headcanon now...
i think that was mentioned in the gaiden manga but never in the official games!
I'm back to talking about quirky magic systems in FE. This time it's a very old classic, a remake, and demake of that remake which is somewhat confusing but nonetheless excellent.
So. I decided to play Sacred Echoes once again. And to make Kliff a mage, because why the hell not.
Mind you. This absolue fool. Managed to miss. Not one. Not two. Not three. Not even four. But five 88 on the span of four chapters. And the worst in that? I had Silque managing to make almost all of her Nosferatu connect. With a roughly 60% chance of hitting each time. I also chose to use GBA rng for this run so a showed 88 is actually more than a real 88. What the hell.
Well, I guess the game is trying to tell me something?
Generally I have a lot of praise for Sacred Echoes, and it's certainly cool that the romhack includes the Cipher DLC units as postgame unlockables alongside a handful of other bonus characters...
...but the grind to get them is some painful RNG. And this is after an update patch doubled the chance to recruit them! From what to what, I have no idea, but it's still quite low.
Mycen coming in to help out Nomah in Forging Bonds is a lot sweeter in the context of Sacred Echoes making them gay exes who get back together in their support line.
