I strongly believe that educating the next generation to appreciate and respect nature is key to protecting our beloved wild places. A few months ago I stumbled upon the @sacredrok ,an amazing organization that has provided life changing experiences for 400 young people – primarily incarcerated youth, foster children, and low income young people – to experience the healing ceremony of nature. I’ve decided to help support Sacred Roc by donating $5 from the sale of every Adventure Beckons shirt. Please check out their website and public annual reports. Here is some info on Sacred Roc from their site: Sacred Rok is a small nonprofit 501(c)3 based in Yosemite, California. It is the vision of Ron Kauk, a rock climber who has lived in and around Yosemite National Park in California for more than 40 years. We incorporated in July 2009 and received nonprofit status in October. The mission of Sacred Rok is to support youth in nature, helping youth to learn to respect nature and through that, to respect themselves.
