How would Snape comfort an infertile SO?
TW for infertility!
I feel like Snape would be shocked at first; not in a bad way, but he hadn't expected that you'd ever tell him that you were unable to have kids. After getting over his initial shock, he'd comfort you and reassure you that you had nothing to be ashamed of, and that he was going to stay with you. He'd try different methods of cheering you up, from making you Draught of Peace to soothe your anxieties, to holding you while you cried. You'd sometimes go silent on Snape and wouldn't want to be bothered, which he understood and he'd give you time to work through your emotions. He was always there at the ready with affection and reassurance, though, those feelings never wavering no matter how difficult things became. When the time came that you and him reconsidered starting a family, Snape would suggest adoption or a surrogate, and the two of you would make a decision together. Although your guilt and doubts tried to consume you, Snape wouldn't let those negative feelings take ahold of you. He knows what it feels like to be in a situation he can't control, and although what he's been through is no match to what you're going through, he's so supportive of you and never fails to make you feel better about yourself. Snape loves you unconditionally and nothing can ever change that.
