Fuck off and Dies @ Press Club, Sacto California
Patstradamus!!
MSG and Time Warner have conspired to deny me my god givenly rightful Knicks games. Fuck a internet stream. I’m consuming this season by watching other teams on NBATV, highlights, Posting and Toasting recaps, and now, ineptly analyzing the box scores from Basketball Reference.
Game 30: Sacramento Kings @ NYK (February 15, 2012)
http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201202150NYK.html
My February 5th prediction has come true! Patsradamus strikes again! (I'm taking all credit for the recent Jeremy Lin success, even if they were sarcastic proclamations. You're welcome.)
The only stat worth mentioning here (though why would I stop at just one) is the fact that 7 Knicks scored in the double-digits, and Tyson Chandler was 1 point from making that 8 Knicks. Jeremy Lin helped it all along with 13 assists, and Landry helped with 5 of his own.
Landry had a (wait for it) FIELD day against the Kings. Putting up 15 points and 10 boards with those 5 dimes. I like the roundness, and fiveness, of those numbers. Beautes.
Bill Walker filled the Carmelo Anthony role aptly. 6 for 9 shooting, and 2 of 3 from beyond the arc for 14 points. Walker is a streak monster, but it would be fantay-z if he put up similar percentages coming off the bench behind Melo when he returns. He and Novak's recent run of good play bodes well for the future bench minutes of this team.
Amare had himself a nice shooting game. Being a blowout and all, there's not a lot of stock to put into all these numbers (other than the elated feelings of happiness they provide), but it's good see Stat shoot well and board. Though I don't like the 4 in the turnover column.
Speaking of apple turnovers, JLin coughed it up six times tonight. Here's hoping Dantone coaches him up hard and gets those numbers down a bit.
Shump continues to love making just three baskets a game. But since I couldn't see this one (Google alert break: FUCK OFF MSG NETWORK, FUCK OFF TIME WARNER CABLE) let's just assume he defended like a cornered grizzly bear.
What else is there to say but, Glory Glory Jeremy Lin!
