Damian remembers the hugs; the secrets escapades to his al'akh side, when he would secretly sneak up to his older brother alcove to sleep in the cold nights back at the compound. Once he managed to disarm all the traps, his brother would open up his cover to invite him in, Damian would gladly do it, without a doubt, nuzzle into his al'akh warm embraces and sleep soundly and peacefully for the night.
“Hush little borealis, go rest now, everything’s gonna be alright”
His bother would them hum a rhythm and run his finger through his hair, mumbling promises to him about giving Damian the childhood he didn’t have, about how he was going to free the both of them from the twisted clutches of his Grandfather and to never worry as he was always going to be there for him to protect him. In all honesty at that time, Damian didn’t fully understood it, what those words meant. What their purpose was.

Hoping that what Grandfather said was a jest; or even a cruel test but his hopes crushes when he was meet by an empty room and some dusted out crates full of Danyal stuff.
