I know almost nothing about genshin, may you tell me like the basics?? It’s alright it if you can’t!! (Also, I love Kaveri and the amount of detail does kill me— in a good way!)

i will do my best to summarize! the very basics is that you play as one of a set of twins who were separated while traveling through time and space, and you're trying to find your lost twin. you've ended up in a world ruled by seven elements - Anemo (air), Hydro (water), Pyro (fire), Geo (stone), Cryo (ice), Dendro (plant) and Electro (self-explanatory). each element is governed by its own god, who rule their respective countries in various ways and sometimes bless particularly outstanding individuals with a Vision, which lets those individuals control their corresponding element. you travel through each of these countries in turn in search of your twin, along the way becoming a hero in each one by preventing some great disaster. there's a LOT more going on but that's the spoiler-free version haha

also extremely important: this is Paimon! she's your fairy companion and guide, and NOT an emergency food source!! i would lay down my life for her. or my food, which she would vastly prefer.

in terms of gameplay, it's open-world style and each playable character (obtainable via gacha) has a different unique fighting style based on their element. it's free to play and entirely possible to actually get what you want in the gacha without paying real money, although obviously paying reduces the time it takes to do so. also, the characters constantly rotate, so there's a lot less FOMO than certain other gacha games because you know your guy will be back in a year or so.

the world design and music are absolutely top-tier, you absolutely WILL become attached to at least a third of the cast if not more (the character design and writing is a little hit or miss but there's someone for everyone), and the main story is really interesting, although admittedly very slow to get to the point. kind of like certain other gacha games.

i could go on but thank you for allowing me to ramble! i really do think you would like it tbh, and like i said it's free to play so if you don't it's not a big deal! BUT. if you do like it. i'm on the Asia server and i would LOVE to help you get caught up if you would ever be down for some co-op :D

i do love that visually but personality-wise it doesn’t suit them…they would be a quieter animal…

Tbh ive been struggling for a WHILE to pick out an animal for them to be in their Kamaty Moon crossover AU…Maybe a fox? Although i think foxes are often considered tricksters and that wouldn’t suit them…any suggestions?
