the guy (Pedro) was a portuguese king, the woman (Inês) was a galician noblewoman and anything between portuguese roalty and anything that is now spain was a no no cause we could lose our independence; his dad (king at the time) forced him to marry another woman but she ended up passing away soon after and he refused to get together with anyone besides Inês so the king had her killed; fastforward to some years later, the dad dies, Pedro becomes king, finds the guys his father ordered to kill Inês and has them executed ripping their heart out - then he takes her from her grave, sits her in the queen’s throne and forces all the nobility and clergy to bow to her, kiss her hand and accept her as their queen

She was great and I love the choices she made to play it, because it would have been so easy to play an OTT comic book villain but instead she was more quietly-menacing which made her scarier lol

That subtle nature was exactly what made her scarier and it was such a fantastic choice. Let me order this hit while writing thank you notes!

What do you mean by Chenoa attachment?

There are folks that are still feeling a way about their breakup and had hoped I assume there was gonna be more with them together before it or after it? Which, I get wanting or wishing for a scene of closure (seeing her give the key back- but it was stated outright) but we meet her and them already discussing the conflicts between them in their year-long relationship and knew the actress had 3 episodes and Grace was cast as well so I guess I’m just surprised by it?

What are you most looking forward to with Black Lightning?

Everything? The action, the family, the dynamics, the music. The peak blackness I’m just ready for this show to get into my eyeballs and give me all the feelings!

Do you have any writing goals for 2018?

Just to WRITE. Right now, that’s all I’m telling myself to do and to get back to part two of my Nova/Chantal fic as intended (this pop up sickness has slowed me for words though) but I wanna set a realistic goal and for me right now the doing over the photoshopping is my biggest obstacle (I say as I work on this gifset request lol)
