Heart of the Sea

The waves crashed against the rocks and docks of the small port town, the air was crisp and warm from the salty sea’s foam. The market was bustling with trade and plenty eager to buy the goods provided with today’s haul. Shouting demands as men unloaded their ships, others setting off back into the oceans care.

Though amongst the rocks off the shore near the docks, rested upon them was a female. As she gazed over the treasure she had found on the sand. Dipping back into the water, flicking her tail as it glittered in the sun light. Reaching toward the sand as she picked up a very pretty shell this time. Returning to the surface before hiding behind the rocks as she heard a voice suddenly. Peeking out to see what caused the noise she noticed a man. Honey eyes gazed at him in awe as she had never seen him before.

Why am I still here? 

It had been so long since she was first put here. In these seaweed binds, chained to the lake floor, she sat. Her hair was tangled, her fins slightly torn, and her ribs showing through her skin. Her cobalt eyes were dim; they had long since lost the life they once had when she was free. 

She felt so isolated, but she supposed that was the point. She had been imprisoned here to be kept away from other merfolk. She hated this, she hated that she was jailed for something she had no part in. But there was nothing she could have done about it. The evidence had pointed to her, despite her innocence. Thus, she would be stuck here until she died, she was sure of it. Alone, with no one to talk to, she wholeheartedly believed that was her fate.

In Hushed Whispers

It was an unusual rainy day as the chatter of customers started to grow slowly quiet as the day went on. The lunch rush had just dwindled down, leaving but a few ordering coffee to go. A petite female with pearl hair that reached her lower back, the end had a small soft curl. Her skin was fair and eyes of honey as she hummed lightly while she wiped off tables. As the door jingled, her attention landed on the person who had just entered the small building. Placing the towel back in the bucket, before heading over to the figure. "Hello, welcome to Cafe Rindell. Just one today?" @sadqueendullety

She had a teasing smile  and slowly approached to kiss him but stopped just before. She looked at him a few moments before answering.

"Well, I saw one, not long ago. Rather effective your holograms."
