Slight decor change for Big Mel and Sadsolotl. They always have tank envy being next to the heated freshwater tank with guppies and corycats galore. You can see the sad, loose remaining leaves of a javafern whose main platform went to the heated tank to hopefully become productive lol. They’re still alive and converting a small amount of nitrates, so I figure they are doing their part at least.

The turbo bites are adorable, ticklish, and somehow always a surprise.

Sadsolotl and Runty are professional as hell. They found their light, made their own wind, and smized some kind of voodoo into existence that turned them into even cuter, chibi versions of themselves. *slow clap *

Awww, Runty is technically still “smol” so he can hide under the likes of such a tiny leaf.

I finally split up runt and Sadsolotl yesterday :/

It was time. They’re getting bigger and I don’t want them snapping at each other, accidentally or otherwise.

I had everyone split into a few bigger tanks earlier today. But then I got so nervous every time one that was slightly larger than another would give the stink eye. I finally just broke up them into mostly individual “tanks” so I could rest easy.

It was fun to watch them do their signature little jump/float move all around the same time as each other.
