Tank update!

The grass in the front seems to fight with the Biofilm. Everyone else is growing well!

My filter pump came today, so now there is more Movement in the watery we'll see how the plants like that...

The 3 Yoda snails are doing well. Pooping like champions already...

My Fish people told me not to make water changes in the begining, so the bacteria has time to settle. But I might do one in Friday anyway, just to clean out all the snail poop 😅

All the planting is done now too. (The shop had to order the Christmas moss for me, so I had to wait)

The post horns are doing well too

Tank update! The plants are growing in really well. I’m fighting the urge to add more; it would look nice but the sals need dig space. I’m planning to add another two inches of substrate for them soon so they can dig more, although honestly both of them tend to be surface dwellers. Delilah splays herself out in the open and Smoliv lives in the leaves.

The front right corner is for begging and now apparently pooping. The center next to the big fern is for “digging” (aka covering your head and torso in a light layer of dirt with your ass completely exposed).

TANK UPDATE 1 month in!!

i’ve added some new plants but a good few plants have grown in so much!!! the loaches are also so happy!!!

adding ember tetras and cherry shrimp in a few days, which will be lovely!

The new guy has only been here about a week and he's changing colors super fast. The first pic is the ad pic from when I bought him.

Little tank update, bastard is doing well, still running over other snails ina show of dominance. Caucasian Cheddar apparently doesn't like being watched? And only seems to move or show the illusion of moving when the tank light is off.

My brother suggested I name the black snail T'Challa so T'Challa it is.

He's a well mannered gentleman I love him.

Ordered two blue dwarf crayfish, one of which is an ass and the other one refuses to go near the bigger one so I guess I got a bully then.

And I might just have ordered ten more shrimp? Can't remember, that'll be a good surprise in the mail I guess

Not sure what kind of miracle it takes to remove sand, soil, cork bark, plants and rocks from a tank and into another tank without getting anything on the carpet but I hope it’s not a one-per-customer miracle

Update: 1/30/19

Rescaped Levi’s tank the other day. I’ve been battling some hair algae in there lately so I scrubbed the sides and trimmed up the moss. It looks a bit better now, but I think I’ll just wait and see how it goes. Also Levi now has 5 otos (which my iPhone wants to autocorrect to otolaryngologists) with him that my boyfriend is growing out before they join the 90 gallon. I doubt they’ll make a huge dent, but at least they’ll be well fed!

We are also moving the juvenile axies to the 55 soon. They will be separated by a barrier until they are big enough. At least one (Cincinnatus) will be sold and we will probably keep Caligula or sell him when he’s older. And it does appear Caligula is a male.

And in other news, one of the clawed frogs got out the other day. I was in our room and heard a strange scraping and splatting sound coming from the hall. I figured it was the cats and went to see what they were doing. I go out there and I can see both of them (now staring at me) and can still hear the noise. Man so albino clawed frogs look ugly and creepy when out of the water. He also had managed to get across the apartment so he was pretty red. He’s doing fine now and I check the lid daily.
