Assignmment: draw the picture assigned to you but change something about their appearance.
2014
When learning how to rig and animate our 3D models, we were assigned to create a few looped animations on a bland model.

For the SAE project of Puerto Macaruba, an adventures/sneaking game to take place during the 17th century, I was assigned to design the uniform of the guards that patrolled the fort. These designs were used as a template for 3D modeling, hence the side- and front view. I included the anatomy of the guard for them to know where the joints were and to keep it in mind when rigging the character.

For the Asylum project, each member had to design a character and create a sheet for them with a full body shot and their three defining aspects. In Mr Nice’s case these were the black of his eyeballs, the tightly-fit suit and the smoke-like tendrils blurring his outline like smoke.

These were small environment thumbs for yet another project at SAE. Our project was called Asylum and took place in an -you guessed it- asylum for the wealthy, the environment stale and haunted with the sole exception of the Grand Entrance so that appearances could be kept up.
2013
A smaller assignment to design an arena for Rico’s Empire (which is, of course, completely fictional).
2013
A 3D project I did early on for the Interactive Animation course at the SAE Institute Amsterdam. I based the idea on Fortress City from the third generation pokémon games.
