Ruby, Garnet, Opal, and Jade for Reinette!
Ruby: Someone they lusted overAside from the obvious answer of Eru, there was once someone Reinette had a girlish crush over. He was different enough, and quite the opposite of herself, and had a raw energy of sexuality about him that brought out a previously repressed carnal desire in Reinette. She came to lust over this man, and found herself flustered in his presence, though nothing ended up happening. He was brutal, and quite harsh, and she knew logically in the end they were quite an ill fit. But their close living quarters made it impossible to ignore the lustful feelings she had for him.
Garnet: Someone they won’t mind marryingIn truth, there is a quiet and small part of Reinette who wants to get married. A girl who grew up in the Shroud, who listened at the edges of parties to fanciful weddings and Prince Charmings that could sweep her away. The fairy tale life has passed her by, which she readily accepted, but the fact that she could still be married and given even a small scope of a fantasy she once had lives on in even a small fragment. There is only one person she’d ever conceived of spending a lifetime with, for it seems as if they have already spent several together. Eruantien Valandiel is Reinette’s one and only lover, who she plans on giving her years to regardless of their martial status. But if it ever came to be, it would ever be with him.More realistically, she won’t get married to him. The part of her that does want to is small, and impractical, and too readily logic’ed over. She would rather use the money and time elsewhere, such as a date with the person in question. Though she would never pass up the opportunity for some fancy outfits.
Opal: An event they cannot forgetIt was the smell that hit her first. A place Dr. Ashe had told her to never go, and she’d expected it to be kept immaculately. He was a studious, organized sort of person. Everything, and everyone, had their place and a place for them. But the smell that wafted up the steps was something nightmarish. It reeked of chemicals and of rot alike. Tangy, bitter, and overly sweet. Fruit and copper tangled on her tongue, in her nostrils. And as the scene came into view, the contrast of smells made sense. A soft, half-conscious groan rose from one of the... patients. He had called it a patient. The vision of discord, of pain mingled with medicine, left her too stunned for any other emotion. The next thing Reinette knew was of fire: Of its blessed cleanse to all the suffering she had lived above.
Jade: Some Feng Shui advice“Let go of what you truly don’t love.”
