“You were almost there. You just need a little more experience.” The look on his face is telling though, and he makes no effort to hide the growing smirk that spreads across his lips. Bringing his face close to that of Thomas, he lets his teeth show before he continues to speak, his voice dropping to a quiet rasp.
“But in case you’re wondering, I do.”
he forces a quiet laugh. he’s not entirely sure if he’d intended for it to come out that way, something of a flirt and an accusation in one, but the man doesn’t deny it and the confidence is off-putting. nobody just admits they are a heretic unless they don’t think they’ll be punished for it. he’s either overconfident or skilled.
“ hah. experience. somehow, i don’t think that’s so likely. you uh... worshipper. heretic. ” he doesn’t say it with as much venom as he usually does, and he’ll blame it on the fact that he doesn’t have the mask and the full familiar uniform.
