um. hi! i'm a bit new around here, and have only been watching your blog for a couple of days now, but could you possibly tell me who nick is and your relationship to him? i know you two are in some sort of friendship/relationship, but i'd love to know more! -^^-
❝Sure thing, sweetie! Nick is a bud of mine that I met after being attacked by the Infected. He sorta sewed me back together post finding me on the ground, bleeding to near death. I owe him my life. Though, between you and me, I think he wants somethin’ a little different.
Anyhow! He’s just. It’s hard to describe him. He acts all tough, cool, charming. And to some extent, he is. But, the way I know ‘im, Nick is a sweet dude who actually does have a heart.
When we met, he was nice enough, but after that, he kinda let his intentions bleed into reality. Wanted to use me. I nearly put a bullet through him at point blank with a magnum, which probably woulda killed the son of a bitch. Not once, but twice. We learned how to get along.❞
Prim sat back, arms crossed over her chest, frowning ever so slightly. ❝As for our ‘relationship’, there ain’t one. We’re friends, nothin’ more. Call it ‘unrequited love’ on my part, if you will. Bittersweet as it is, it eats away at me to know that this is as far as I’ll ever get with him. I’m not the only woman out there. I know he’s got plans. He can’t stay with one for very long. That man has a magic to him. And I’m the dumb bitch that fell under his spell.❞ She threw a knife into the adjacent wall. ❝Drives me crazy. Makes the killin’ all the easier, though. A healthier way to vent it than hurting him or myself. And sometimes, it feels like he’s playing with me intentionally. Trying to gauge how far I’ll go to win him over. Men like him that make my blood boil. He makes my blood boil. He’s seen the worst sides of me, and continues to shove me to the edge, only to pull me back before I fall! What’s he getting at? What does he get out of it? How is he so blind to the pain it puts me through! I try to respect him and his space, but it’s never enough! I’m never enough for him!❞
The crashing sound of glass falling to the floor, along with a soft gasp by her shaded friend, brought Prim back to reality, hand bleeding from the shards of a bottle poking out of the flesh. She’d been so wound up over the whole thing, finally and completely spilling her mind, that she paid no mind to her surroundings. She forced herself to stand, knocking her chair over violently, and with heavy footsteps, grabbed her knife from its place in the wall, gun off the floor and fled from the safehouse, hoping to find some peace in killing the monsters outside the door.
But, of course, by what she left behind, the question remained: isn’t she the real monster?
