How come safe mode settings appear on other's pages but not on mine? This doesn't make sense
say this to someone being mean to you
how to keep yourself away from that thing senstive " +18" on tumblr ? please help me
Go to settings, Put on the “Safe mode”.
This will block any sensitive content.
Plus, there’s the Filtering option in settings, you can block any “+18” content by putting the words hashtag like the word “porn” ,for example. It will block any content that has the word you wrote in Filtering.
Also, I advise you to unfollow any blog that has “+18” conent, a lot of amazing blogs we follow have unfortunately such conents. And Tumblr do suggest to you to follow similar blogs, and that will lead you to see more blogs with such posts. So, simply just unfollow them. And clean your dashboard. I did unfollow a lot of blogs that were disturbing with dirty posts, and followed more blogs that I like.
Of course, all of these tips won’t vanish these posts all the way, but will do help in decreasing them.
So, I advise you to control yourself, we are curious human being, we were born curious. We love to discover things and see different stuff. But when it comes to these content, please control yourself as much as you can, and just unfollow the blog or ignore the post immediately.
Keep your social media following list clean; everything you see and read actually shape your mind and personality, and it happens unconsciously. We need to make a detox from one time to another. “You are what you follow”.
Remember:
(وَأمّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقامَ رَبِّهِ ونَهَىٰ النَّفسَ عَنِ الهَوىٰ فَإِنّ الجنّةَ هِيَ المَأْوىٰ)
Respect who is seeing you, remember Him.
(أَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ بِأَنَّ اللهَ يَرَىٰ)
❤️
does anyone know if there’s a third party extension of some sort that can disable safe mode? i’m just here for the tits and ass, fam
how long before this blog gets flagged as nsfw because it's nothing but posts blocked by safemode
@staff We need to talk.
Your safemode system is filtering out eggplants. Eggplants! While letting nude spammers go around unmolested.
Please fix this.
I made a petition to get rid of the stupid new safemode update!
Because a) This is annoying me and loads of people, and b) I have nothing better to do.
As of today, Tumblr has introduced a new way of blocking sensitive media on their site, with a new "safe mode" update. This safe mode has blocked many things that don't even come close to being sensitive, and if you're under 18 there is no way to turn it off, period.
This petition aims to make Tumblr realise that this update is ,quite frankly, useless, as the multitude of Tumblr users have other, better ways to block sensitive content that they don't wish to see, such as blacklisting tags or blocking offensive blogs. Furthermore, before the update, Tumblr's safe mode was already useful for blocking sensitive content by blocking all blogs and posts that had been flagged as NSFW.
This new update, however, is seemingly blocking posts and blogs at random. It is reducing not only what content people see on Tumblr, but also what people can post. Many people can't see content their friends are reblogging, other's are being treated to a dashboard full of blocked posts, and a few can't do anything due to everything being blocked.
This update is useless, untested, and broken, It's not needed, and basically the entirety of Tumblr's userbase can agree that Tumblr has updated the wrong things. Something like a tag blocker for mobile would be much better, and it would be more useful too.
When this petition reaches enough signatures, it will be sent to Tumblr as a sign of how much people dislike this update. The aim is to have them backtrack the update, and hopefully get them to focus on more useful updates instead of one that breaks the entire site. Tumblr should be a site for everyone, and this update is preventing that from being a thing.
Please sign the petition here: https://www.change.org/p/tumblr-remove-tumblr-s-brand-new-safe-mode-update
Also reblog to get the word out! I’ve honestly had enough of Tumblr’s rubbish updates, especially this one, which has broken everything.
UPDATE: WE NEED 20,000 SIGNATURES TOTAL AT LEAST, AND CURRENTLY WE ONLY HAVE 12,300. KEEP BOOSTING, TELL ALL THE POPULAR BLOGS, SPREAD THIS AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.
Tumblr... really?
So @staff have removed the majority of it’s most searched terms. Why? Because they think that censoring the internet is still a good idea.
Oh why do I say that? Well ol’ @staff decided to FORCE censorship on all it’s users - instead of asking.
Seems they believe in #MAGA only Tumblr style.
Shame, but then again look at who is on staff here. That’ll answer your question before you even ask it.
That question is simply - is Tumblr worth your time if they don’t think you’re worth theirs?
Until next time,
