I'll do something more involved with him once I get some time off, he's a fun one to draw.

His mask is basically it’s own conscious, though whatever it says can only be heard by Saffer himself.
It haunts him, teases him, and mentally torments him whenever his drunken antics go too far. Sometimes it won’t even let him sleep, and shows no remorse when it begins to taunt/mock him until the “punishment” proves to get the demon’s act together again. And the worst part is:
He can never take it off.

If he were a human, his liver would literally be nonexistent with the amount of alcohol he consumes.
He’s even drunk when he’s sober, it’s awful.

The mask he oftenly wears is not only a form of punishment by Pandora, but it expresses the OPPOSITE of when emotions he’s feeling. If he’s sad, the mask is happy. If he’s tired, the mask is hyper and energetic. If he’s ravenous, the mask is sick/nauseated. The list goes on.
Why is that?
Saffer is.. quite complicated. He cannot maintain control of his emotions, especially when he’s drunk. And these emotions have caused great harm to many, including his siblings- and the mask is there as a permanent reminder of these lethal mistakes. It’s there to remind him to control himself, but even if he hasn’t gotten professional help.
