Today marked her second full week within the city walls of Shadowfalls. She had spent the majority of the past two weeks just unpacking and settling into her new little apartment, reassuring her worried parents she was fine. They had not been to keen on their only daughter moving to a designated supernatural city, where her presence was anything but welcome – but Ashton was a stubborn and spirited thing. When she set her mind to something, there was no stopping her.
Ash had yet to explore Shadowfalls in its entirety, so her day was wholly dedicated to exploring the city she now called home. Somehow, she had found herself in a local art gallery, peering at an abstracted painting with a cocked head and raised brow. Dark eyes flicked to the person beside her, “Is it supposed to look like a giraffe with a mustache?”
