I remember. I saw them, a pod of them porpoising. There were about 5-6 of them that kissed the air, ever so gently. It was so quiet. I knew they were coho. Everyone else were catching chum. I froze. They showed about 40 feet ahead, to my 1 o'clock. I quickly whipped my Muddler Minnow fly pattern right on top of them. I stripped my line very slowly. This hen smacked my fly so hard, my fly rod almost flew out of my hands. She was bright, full of fight, with lots of might. I felt alright. She was gorgeous, in all her wildness and glory. I kissed her. I let her go. #coho #repost #flashbackfriday #flyfishing #sageflyfishing #fraservalley #salmon #supernaturalbritishcolumbia #beautifulbritishcolumbia #tugsthedrug #okuma #okumareels #bc #muddlerminnow
