In this video, I will be routesetting an outdoor replica of 'There's No I in Illiterate' V7 located in New River Gorge National Park, WV. Not really sure if you call this a replica, mimic, or simulator? What do you think it is called? When I looked at the feature "The Beast" in our gym at Triangle Rock Club in Richmond VA I knew that was what I wanted to climb the most. Overhang is by far my favorite terrain. So when I had the opportunity to set a problem on it, I was beyond excited and started to plan it all out in my head. Although, instead of the typical overhang climb up the main feature I wanted something tricky off to the side starting from a sit-down-start from the bottom. I wanted something tough, not flashable, that couldn't be done in sneakers, and a true V6. I also wanted to create a climb that I have climbed before outdoors. I think 'There's No I in Illiterate' is the perfect fit for this area and I think I did the climb justice. Here is the process from start to finish. Let me know what you think? Thank you @phattjones for the send footage and for keeping us inspired. Check out his channel for great climbing content.
