The human pup loves our Abby. He loves to watch her and gets an extra high-pitched lovey sound when he looks at her. We love it, however Abby is more of a shy girl, and likes her kennel and safe spaces. Sage on the other hand, was the opposite. She would always snuggle in as close as possible, and followed us around wherever we went. Last night, momma had some tears about this, thinking about how much the baby human would have loved Sage now, and how she would have wanted to be right next to him at all times. Abby must have heard us, or maybe Sage did and she let her know, and this morning she decided to get on the play mat with her baby brother to show us her Nana skills. Abby here with some sad news. We had to say goodbye to my best big sister, Sage, today. She was a fighter since the beginning. Our parents took her as a hospice dog over 12 years ago, and she’s fought her way through so much ever since. She finally let us know this week that she was tired and ready to rest. We spend some extra special family time together in the nice weather, and she got a steak dinner and bacon this morning. She was the best big sister to me. I’ll still be posting here, as well as sharing memories of her along the way. Thanks for being a part of her life and loving her like we do.
