View .PSD thumbnails in File Explorer

So I’m on a huge mission to clean up my hard drives now that I have my wizz-bang computer.

I think the hardest part is view my .psd files in files explorer and they aren’t images, just a blue icon.

After some quick internet searching and the Adobe Community forum... I’ve come across SageThumbs -  free download, not sure what else its capable of but right now after a quik install I can see my PSDs as image thumbs!!

I’ll keep you update on how it works but after install and first look.... I recommend (I don't think you’re meant to recommend anything after only 10 minutes of use... but it me... and this is 2018! Lead the way!)

.TGA Preview on windows

If you you work with TGA files you might find SageThumbs useful, its a Windows shell extension that allows you to preview diferent images formats that are not supported by Microsoft by default .and its free.

Hello guys!!

So, this is a tutorial where I intend to show you a program really cool. This program allows you to see how the psd looks like before you open. In other words you will see your psds like you see your images.

There's another setting which you can use and get the same result, but I used and at some point wasn't working anymore (is called Psd Codec), and I couldn't fix it. So I decided to search a little bit more finding this one.

Is called Sagethumbs and you need to download the assistant and install it. And here is the official page so you can check it.

It's a really simple process, like when you're installing any other program. After this, you'll be able to see you psds archives like that:

Besides that, there's another option when you click with the right button on your mouse above the archive, so you can automatically generate images JPG, PNG, GIF or BMP from PSD, AI, PDF, EPS, TGA etc without open!

Awesome right?! I loved it, and I didn't get any problem using it.

Wreszcie! Podgląd plików RAW (i nie tylko...) w exploratorze Windows 7

W końcu pojawił się darmowy program rozszerzający możliwości powłoki shell systemu Windows 7 - SageThumbs. Umożliwia on podejrzenie zawartości plików takich jak: cyfrowe negatywy zdjęć w formacie RAW, pliki Photoshopa .PSD czy Illustratora .AI bezpośrednio w oknie Exploratora Windows. Wcześniej trzeba było posiłkować się innymi progamami + rozszerzeniami doń, lub płatnymi rozwiązaniami komercyjnymi. Chyba nie muszę nikomu tłumaczyć, jak bardzo (mimo świetnych programów, takich jak choćby Lightroom) przyspiesza i ułatwia to codzienną pracę grafika/fotografa.

Pragnę od razu dodać, że - przynajmniej u mnie - najszybszym ustawieniem jest opcja "Prefer image file embedded thumbnails". Wybranie tej opcji powoduje, że miniaturki wczytują się niezwykle szybko. Moje okno ustawień:
