Not gonna lie, I feel like the new seasons were announced solely for the purpose of bringing something to Total Drama fans after shutting down Reunion. I don't know if that's possible with the amount of people that are suppose to be involved, but the timing between the cancelation, the announcement, and today is kinda sus
Yeah I think there's a lot of weight to that theory. I mean, the time between Dramarama's announcement (December 2017) and the first episode (July 2018) was roughly eight months, but they already had been in production for five months (July 2017).
I suppose there's more preproduction work to be done bc they need to develop an entirely new cast + overarching plotlines + challenges.
If not for Reunion, I wonder how long it would've taken them to announce the new seasons
