Creepypasta Mansion Au Headcanons

Personally, I love the Creepypasta mansion au stuff. I’ve been eating that shit up since I was what? 7-8? My longest hyperfixation to date probs.

This is just a bunch of random headcanons about the mansion itself/the characters and some of my own ideas and takes on the concept.

This is also the start of my “Alive Mansion AU” so everything will be tagged with that. Keep a look out!

My word is not gospel, none of these characters belong to me, I’m just a huge nerd. So yknow.

I know some of these characters may have downright criminal creators, so just keep in mind that I’m just having fun with the characters and am not associated with the creators in any way shape or form. I just like the silly guys and am not promoting or agreeing with anything the creators have done if they have done something.

- The mansion is a weird entity all on its own. If you look closely at its walls and floors, it breaths.

- It changes location often, but it’s almost impossible to tell when it does until after it’s happened.

- One minute you’ll be in the overworld, then the underworld, then something in between.

- The overworld is the mortal world where humans live.

- Underworld is where cryptids and monsters live, it’s like a mirror world. Think Stranger Things type beat.

- In between is a plain of existence called “The Crossover” which is the bridge between the underworld and overworld. It looks exactly like the overworld and underworld, but it’s all shaded gray. There isn’t any color, no life, just gray. Anyone can live here, but humans don’t tend to last long.

- Most people who end up there die or don’t come back. Those who DO come back usually suffer from bad mental issues later (like developing dementia very early on, memory loss, hallucinations, etc)

- Children end up in the crossover the most.

- The crossover is accessible through earth’s cave systems.

- Slenderman found the mansion in the underworld and took up residence, the two of them are now forever connected as one. The mansion can feel what Slenderman feels and Slenderman can feel what the mansion feels.

- The mansion can speak through Slenderman, but tends not to speak at all.

- Slenderman talks to people by talking into their minds and can talk to multiple people at once.

- If Slenderman talks into someone’s mind for too long, it can cause migraines, nosebleeds, and blackouts.

- Hoodie, Masky, and Skully (who yes I know are from Marble Hornets but I can do what I want) last the longest when Slenderman speaks.

- People around the mansion suspect it’s because they were Slenderman’s first proxies and have been around the longest.

- Masky was the first, then Hoodie, last was Skully. They were indoctrinated after the events of Marble Hornets.

- Slenderman ate Alex, Jessica, Seth, and Amy’s souls.

- He like- marinated Alex’s technically lmao.

- People who’re mentally unwell are the easiest for Slenderman to take, which is why he tends to go after mentally ill children and teenagers.

- He does occasionally take in ghosts and spirits with unfinished business. Examples of this are Sally and Ben, who’re both permanently 8 and 12 respectively.

- He has a soft spot for ghost kids, in a way a god pities man, but yknow.

- Kate was taken pretty soon after Hoodie, Masky, and Skully were. The four of them bonded deeply because of their shared and similar trauma.

- Jeff, Jane, Liu, and Toby all got taken around the same time as well.

- Jane and Liu are like their own little team who were victims of Jeff.

- Toby ended up warming up to Skully and Kate, which ended with him joining their group.

- Nina has basically isolated herself due to her manic and obsessive behavior regarding Jeff and EJ. It’s all she talks about, all she thinks about, why she does anything at all. She’s extremely far gone.

- Nobody knows why Slenderman keeps Nina around, but in reality she is an incredibly strong and ruthless killer, fueled by her obsessions. She thinks that doing what she does will impress Jeff and EJ.

- It doesn’t and they tend to avoid her.

- Clockwork and Nina arrived around the same time and Clockwork joined Jane and Liu’s group, but likes to hang out with Kate and Toby. She thinks Masky and Hoodie are boring and Skully is intimidating.

- Lazari and Lulu arrived at the same time, Lazari is being used as a pawn by Slenderman to spite Zalgo but he does once again have a soft spot for her. She hangs out with Sally and Ben the most.

- Lazari is still the daughter of Zalgo and is being held prisoner by Slenderman for his own gain and used to give Slenderman high ground in his and Zalgo’s deadly ongoing rivalry.

- Lulu hangs out with Jane and Liu’s group due to their more laid back and quiet nature.

- Smile dog, Grinny cat, the rake, BOB, Laughing Jack/Jill, and the puppeteer are their own monsters. None of them live at the mansion and they all came from the underworld.

(I’ll do like individual headcanons for everyone if I feel like it lmao, lemme know if you want me to.)

- Slenderman doesn’t really have a goal per se? He eats human souls, the longer he tortures them, the better they taste and the more they sedate him.

- If he doesn’t eat human souls for a certain period of time, he’ll go batshit crazy. All of the people that live in the mansion are killing normal humans from the overworld to feed Slenderman.

- They’re what’s stopping Slenderman from going on a rampage, but it also stops themselves from getting eaten. They prove they’re strong enough and they get to live.

- Slenderman wouldn’t be able to eat Sally, Ben, Liu, EJ, or Lazari’s souls.

- Sally and Ben are ghosts, their souls are between life and death, which Slenderman cannot reach.

- Liu and EJ are humans being infested by other entities, so their souls are intermingled with those entities and tainted by them. Slenderman finds those souls in particular repulsive.

- Lazari isn’t 100% human. She’s half demon because of Zalgo. Slenderman also finds that repulsive.

- No one knows what the mansion is. Is it a monster? Is it a god? Is it something else entirely? No one knows.

- Jeff and EJ hang out and tend to avoid most people in the mansion. They bonded over Nina being obsessed with both of them.

- Sally and Ben kind of come and go as they please, but stick around because it makes them feel like they have a home.

- Slenderman doesn’t care if any of them live or die, but the mansion seems more..parental?

- It shifts and communicates with its control over the floors and walls. It urges them to get out of bed, to put a coat on when it’s cold, to eat a hot meal.

- It would be sweet if you didn’t know that it was always watching.

- The basement isn’t a basement.

- Liu and EJ claim to hear a heartbeat from under the living room floorboards.

- The heartbeat lulls Sally, Lazari, and Ben to sleep a lot of the time. It’s not uncommon to find them all curled up on the couches.

- They can’t hear it, but it’s like a subconscious thing where you can’t realize it’s there but your body knows it’s there.

- Liu and EJ are the exception.

- Slenderman too.

- The mansion is infinite and creates rooms as needed.

- Don’t wander too far inside, it doesn’t make an effort to keep a stable form once you get past the initial hallways and rooms.

- There are rumors that only one human has ever escaped Slenderman’s grasp.

- A guy named..Vinny? His name is whispered on the wind like a secret spoken for no one to hear.

- This gives the people in the mansion a glimmer of hope that maybe one day they’ll be free. If one guy can escape, couldn’t they all?

- Too bad the only way out is death. Death that Slenderman has no control over. When there are other powers at play.

- Say you get killed by an entity of massive magnitude, one that can shape the world how it wants it to be, who rivaled with Slenderman for eons.

- One who is one hell of a bad HABIT.

- But you kill him and you both die together. That is how you escape. Through loopholes.

- Too bad there aren’t enough for everyone.
