Day 6: Aftersound of Misfortune

– What are you doing here? We called Burakh, a doctor!

– Hush, child. I'm here to help. Where's him?

– You're not a doctor. – "you're the sign of misfortune, a witch!" - Ataman probably wanted to say but kept it only in his look. Not so many time for this boy on the ground left. They needed to hurry. – How would you do that?

– I was close friend of Isidor. He trusted me some things. – Aspity puts her hand in her bag and pulls a little bottle out. – This is the one of his tinctures.

Notkin hesitated. The name of Isidor definetely made his will reel. And eventually, he nodded and let her see an infected boy.

– Is he gonna make it?

She wasn't the plague itself but forgotten misfortune was already speaking with her voice. Aspity woke it up with this old tincture in her hands.

– Too early to say. Time will tell.

Come on. it's awaiting you by the exit.

Day five: the big one and the small one

WARNING: BIG DIALOGUE AND WEIRD FLIRTING!!!

– Why don't you ever look at sky? It's much more beautiful than the ground. You know, stars, the Milky Way...things you could see only in pictures of student books are right here.

– Inquisitor...I can barely see the letters and I've never read any books. Skies are too far away from me, than the ground is right here. While the sky can show me only the clouds, I see every blade of grass, every rock because the Earth is really right here. I can touch it with my toes.

– You're saying this because you've never seen it. Sky is much bigger... it's around us, around our little world even. It's really... infinite.

– No, I've seen it. I look at this right now.

– What?

– You hair. I see it well and it's right here, I'm holding it in my hands.

– Hair?

– Yes. It's dark enough to be called a night sky you worship so much, if you want me to find it. And it has got enough dandruff to be covered with stars, which every dreamer idiot tries to catch.

– Don't tell me the dirtiness is beautiful.

– Everything living is dirty and imperfect... it's not that bad as you think, – Aspity touched a white streak softly. – Even the Milky Way is a product of the mess someone has done before...

Aglaya didn't say anything for awhile. Maybe, she got confused. Was it a compliment or no, she wasn't ready to accept it. Was she?

– Anyway, you can't call such a short thing by sky. It's far away from infinity.

– Maybe it's not... Endlessness isn't the matter, as you think. My people don't believe in this but in the cyclicity and it meets more often than you think...– Aspity rolled Aglaya's hair, some strands fall out of her hands. – You make such intricate hairstyle every day and keep ignoring such simple things. You're more blind than me.

But it's fine. It's better if I'm the only one who can see this little sky.
