  good lord, but the man has some very large ears. perhaps he has the ability to   echolocate? a rare trait in humans, to be sure, but what a fascinating study if   it happens to be the case!

  but of course, the doctor is almost CERTAIN that the man isn’t human.

      anger isn’t the right word. it’s deeper.. a sense of loss already setting in her bones as if he’s slipping through her fingers. some days she can’t help but wonder; are they chasing death or running from it? it’s hard to tell.. hard to read him most days. every time she thinks she knows what’s going on in his head.. he says something like this. and she’s left to completely reevaluate. 

     for a minute  ( or maybe it’s two )  she just kind of looks at him. hoping to see the smirk that is burned into her memory. praying to find the hints of his humor that some days.. she doesn’t understand but can appreciate all the same. her head shakes before she speaks.. as if trying to offer up something before she finds the words. but everything she wants to say gets lost.. all she can muster is a simple   ( but firm )        ❛   don’t say things like that..   ❜

        SHE HAS HER hands laced in front of her, just watching. it’s a mundane sight before her, this field of craggy weeds & soft earth, HER earth. tiny lavender flowers dot here and there. nothing grand to say the least, but there is a warm charm to this half overgrown patch of land.

       fingers drum almost idly against the console. careful not to touch any buttons that might get her yelled at, or launch them off into the time vortex.   ( although she’s pretty sure it takes more than just pressing a button or two. )   eyes remain fixed on him, watching his every movement as if she had some idea of what he was doing. she’s asked but the inner workings of the tardis aren’t something she fully understands.. at least not yet. maybe some day.    ❛   what’re you fixin’ now? thought we were goin' to a planet..   ❜

                   Disbelief clouds her features, her nose turned up almost in scorn - how DARE he think that of her ? She thought he would at least remember her better than that.  Even in the days of Lucie Miller and the Plague, she had never, ever been so violent as to actively participate or condone WAR.  Her throat feels tight as his words herald a blow to her hearts, a wound struck against her.
