blessed beyond

My mind keeps spinning around,

Going through all the things that I do not have,

All the goals I am yet to accomplish,

I egoistically concur with my selfish mind,

God knows I could use an extra boost.

  But my soul reminds me that I am blessed,

I have been blessed by a kind heart that reaches out to others,

I have been blessed with a mothers love like no other,

A father’s kindness that consoles me,

A healthy body and mind that rejuvenates me,

I have a roof over my head,

I have not gone to bed hungry,

I have friends that run to my rescue,

And enemies that keep me motivated,

As much as my selfish mind want to complain,

My soul is content,

For today I may not have what I want,

But I have all that I need.

  I am blessed beyond!

Count your blessings today,
