“and if it constructs and thinks up causes — and it has certainly thought up a good many — nevertheless it does not think them up in order to persuade anyone of their truth but only in order that they might provide a correct basis for calculations”
this is the meaning of everydayness - it is finding and recognizing the the great nurturing value of humility in ourselves and in all things. it is a process of becoming attentive to the quiet and practical so that their essential beauty and strength can be revealed and recognized as the tenor or cornerstone of our lives… this practical usefulness is your own protected corner of strength in the world…
Sensation (i.e. sense perception) tells you that something exists; thinking tells you what it is; feeling tells you whether it is agreeable or not, and intuition tells you whence it comes and where it is going.

Audre Lord
Man’s predominant faculty is the capacity to be conscious of himself and his surroundings. What is the texture of this consciousness? What are the links between the genetic structure of man and his capacity for conscious awareness? Can manipulating the one influence the other? What are the functions of those areas of the brain that are still unexplored? Is man, in fact, evolving toward a transmutation of consciousness in much the same way as animal consciousness after millions of years on this planet evolved and developed into human consciousness? Is it possible that man is on the threshold of a new evolution? If so, what will be the concomitant changes required in the human body, particularly the brain?
