Any of my sailing friends know the rules as they apply to "Skiff" (what we used to call kiteboards) at the 2024 Olympics.

Thinking here of stuff like boat on starboard tack has right of way, if boats are going the same way does leeward boat still right of way, etc.

Also racing skiffs in 3-5knt wind is no more fun than watching Sail GP in it (at least in the Olympics they can postpose to a different date/time

The philosophy of a racing start (part 1)

I was in a North Sails University class today, and one of the things that I learned was to keep some twist in the main sail during the starting sequence in order to make it easier to steer/maneuver the boat. The idea sounded easy enough, but our on the water session made me realize that I had a few questions that weren't immediately evident to me. Do you always keep the traveller travelled all the way up each time you tack? If not, when do you begin to travel it up? When can you begin to travel down after the start of a race? Etc. To answer these questions, you can keep the traveller centered for most of your 5-minute starting sequence, if that works for you, and then travel up for your final approach to the line; but, ideally, you should set your traveller all the way up for a starboard tack, and lock it into place at the beginning of the starting sequence--this way your sail has the appropriate twist when you go for the starting line. Once you begin racing, you can adjust your traveller and sails as necessary. This clinic taught me a lot, and most importantly, it taught me that I don't necessarily know all of the answers. I may think that I know or understand a concept in theory, but when the time comes to apply it, several additional questions may arise.
