Valentine’s Day Special #30
One Piece World ❤️ Dating Franky requested by Anon named Kat
For once, it was a peaceful day on the sunny. Luffy and Usopp were complaining about it being boring but you were content at the fact that there was no fighting, no marines, just the peaceful sounds of the ocean. Suddenly, Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper raised a ruckus on catching a rather large fish. Well, the peace and quiet was nice for a while. You looked around the deck and noticed that your boyfriend was nowhere in sight. You headed below deck to see if you could find him and spend time with him. It was Valentine’s Day after all.
“Kat~” You heard him call just as he watched you come in. You smiled and went over to him as you plopped down on the ground in between his legs with your back pressed against his chest, the space the both of you found the most comfortable. You looked at the thing he was working on, his arms working around you to continue working.
“What are you making?” He chuckled and rested his head on top of yours, turning the bolt with the wrench in his hand.
“You’ll see. It’s for you.” You blinked and sighed, tilting your head back to look at him.
“I told you not to bother with a gift. We just found out about this holiday a couple days ago.” He shrugged, his eyes never leaving whatever he was making.
“I know but you’re my girlfriend. I wanted to get you something. Since we couldn’t stop at an island, I’m making you something.” You sighed softly before resting your head on his chest and closed your eyes.
“Wake me up when you’re done.” He chuckled and after a while of tinkering he peaked down at you. “You’re not sleeping.” You smirked and looked up at him.
“Just thinking.”
“About?”
“What do you call a group of unorganized cats?” He sighed before smiling at you.
“Here we go. What do you call them?” A cheeky grin brightened your expression.
“A cat-astrophe.” He chuckled and ruffled your hair, going back to work.
“That one was a good one. I’ll give you that.”
“I got another one.”
“Lay it on me.”
“What do you call a seagull that flies over the bay?” It was a back and forth of your cheesy jokes, your smile brightening every time he chuckled or groaned, depending on the joke.
“Done!” He grinned at you as he held out a cube as big as his palm, which would require you to hold it in both hands. You turned the cube over in your hands and raised an eyebrow.
“So, what is it?” He pointed to the top of the box.
“Press that button.” You did and waited. The box slowly started to move and it transformed into a silver rose in your palms. You blinked and turned it again in your hands. “It does other things too.” You pushed the button a couple of times, watching as it transformed into various things like a small metal dog that moved and a small teddy bear that moved side to side. You pressed the button a final time and it took a while to change. Suddenly, on your palm, there was a small ballerina kneeling on your palm. On the back of the doll, small speakers started to play a soft piano tune and the ballerina danced across your palms. You watched it move with grace even with its mechanical parts. It made a small curtsy before shutting down and becoming a cube again.
“Whoa. Looks like you set the bar really high for yourself for next year.” You teased, hoping that your heart beat didn’t sound as loud as it did in your ears. He grinned and gently squeezed you, his arms nestled comfortably around your waist.
“So, there’s a next year?” You blushed and giggled, resting against his chest and playing with the cube.
“Maybe." You felt him kiss the top of your head before he rested his head on top of yours.
