Yeah yeah new ocs new story, let’s see how long the motivation last for this one lol.

Rant + story below:

Rue is part of a crew that hunts magic creatures in order to trade/sell/taxidermy their remains as trophies or for hunting. Her mother is the captain of the ship and she takes the crew to The Island of Pearls in order to hunt the famed Pearl Dragons. Pearls are common in this sea and are usually produced by the magic creatures there, which similar to clams, have the ability to form pearls inside them.

However, the bigger the animal, the larger (and more magical), the pearl. So Pearl dragons have been hunted to near extinction for their pearls.

Reverie is a Pearl Dragon, and the pearls are actually very important to their wellbeing. They are what gives them their magic (which includes shapeshifting) and basically functions as their hearts. Her goal is to gather as many dragon pearls that have been stolen as possible. This is in order for her to bring these pearls back to to a special whirlpool during an Aurora so she can revive the dragons.

And they’re gay because of course.

Captain Jeanne Alessandra Selene d'Arjan aka 'Captain Moon-Eye'; master and commander of the merchant ship the Century - Cassidy and Dagda's superior officer.

I really wanted to make her this flamboyant older woman in furs, plummage, silks and ruffles. Proper grande dame type that commands respect from her crew.

Absolutely despises pirates, with one (her own sister) taking out her right eye - having her replace it with a ball of moonstone. Hence the nickname Jeanne is given.

It's funny when you think that my oc was born in Tannu Tuva, which the nearest coast is like 3.000km away. He just ended up doing his conscription in the Baltic sea.
