Trivia Time
Bowie used “Isolar” a lot–it’s the title of his 1976 and 1978 tours, the name of his management company founded in 1982, and the anagram of his username, Sailor, on BowieNet (and he has such a thing for sailors, as we all know lol). Apparently, when asked “Why Isolar?” he said “Isola is Italian for island. Isolation plus solar all equals Isolar. If I remember correct, I was stoned.”
