BRADYPUS CONFIDIMUS - Personal Work
I originally drew the sainted sloth way back in university, many moons ago. It's an image I've always wanted to redraw and eventually get tattooed on my body because that's the kind of idiot I am.
The original version of this drawing was the... incident that spawned the religion I accidentally founded, as I and a group of poly-lingual, poly-religious friends tried to translate not just the phrase, but the concept of the Sloth Saint into as many different languages and cultures/religions as we could.
(A note: I asked my latin speaking friends their opinions on how I should translate 'In Sloth We Trust' into Latin, and there arose a discussion of whether Bradypus should be declined, and if so how, but in the end I decided the sound/feel of the rhyme and the recognition of the word Bradypus were more important to the image than the correct translation. I'm sorry everyone who is now disappointed.)
