‘𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗝𝗨𝗗𝗬’⁣ 🎬 𝗦𝗬𝗡𝗢𝗣𝗦𝗜𝗦 & 😎 𝗡𝗢𝗡-𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪:⁣ ⁣ 🎬: After moving from New Mexico to L.A. so that her son could be close to his dad, Judy Wood [Michelle Monaghan], a single mum & defence attorney, starts working in the immigration law offices of the enigmatic Ray Hernandez [Alfred Molina].⁣ ⁣ Regardless of the heavy workload, Wood focuses on Asefa Ashwari [Leem Lubany], a young Afghani woman facing deportation after fleeing her home country where she was persecuted by the Taliban for opening a school exclusively for girls.⁣ ⁣ After being fired, Wood starts her own community law practice & continues to represent Ashwari; in the end, she single-handedly changed the U.S. Law of Asylum to include women as a protected class by winning the case in the 9th Circuit Court.⁣ ⁣ 😎: As Wood investigates the case, she discovers the heart-breaking circumstances behind Ashwari being captured & tortured by the Taliban before eventually fleeing Afghanistan.⁣ ⁣ Michelle Monaghan’s depiction of Judy Wood emphasised how the lawyer’s dedication to the rights of her clients bordered on obsession. A new trailer has been released for Saint Judy, which is set to release March 1, 2019.

SAINT JUDY tells the inspirational true story of immigration attorney Judy Wood and her fight that changed American asylum law forever. In her first case, Judy represents a woman forced to flee her home country after being persecuted by the Taliban for opening a school for girls. While juggling her life as a single mother, Judy fights tenacious battles in and out of court, not only saving her client’s life, but changing the Law of Asylum in the United States. times: when do you normally awaken?

My alarm is set to 6:30, but I usually get up at 7:00. If it’s a day off, then I’ll wake up between 11 and 2 o’clock, maybe even earlier on occasion.

treat: your favorite sweets?

Mint or liquor filled chocolate. I don’t understand why people hate it… It’s pure bliss.

Blue, orange, green, purple, grey. It’s so hard to choose just one…

I used to really want to. Nowadays I just accept what I’ve been given - which is two names, and a bunch of other names that I’ve given to myself and use as aliases.
