This is essentially the villain/henchman ship that you've always dreamed of. Like Gonta/Kokichi. Or if Kronk and Yzma were the same age. Or if Pacha and Kuzko were the same age. There's a lot of comparisons to draw here where the writers were too cowardly to make the villain/henchman ship overtly romantic and/or similar ages.

Team. We've talked about this. Any ship between Tenko and a girl is at least 20% canon.

Speaking of underappreciated Hiyoko ships- Saiowari. I'm in love with the idea of Hiyoko wanting to insult Akane and when she has no reactions to that Hiyoko assumes she's just too stupid to understand her insults... Until eventually she and Akane actually talk and she quickly realizes Akane just doesn't react because, compared to all the shit she's gone through, getting insulted by a classmate is so minor she can't even consider it an annoyance, much less actually hurtful.

And idk, I just like the idea of Hiyoko sort of begrudgingly having some amount of respect for Akane that slowly grows into appreciation. Going from seeing her as just some idiot to learning how much she had to work just to survive, and that leads to Hiyoko sort of sympathizing with her. And once Hiyoko stops being a jerk to her, the two are able to get close.

SAIOWARI!! I looooove Saiowari it is like. You're absolutely correct, and I'll also throw in that it's the ultimate "villain and henchman AU" ship. Like a perfect parallel to Kokichi and Gonta except instead of committing henchman murders Akane's actual henchman work is "help tie the kimono." Like Megamind! Like if Megamind had an Igor other than the fish. And they were in love. And they were both girls.
