potato chips (and gnocchi) are the lone exceptions to my potato hate and that’s only because they don’t have the taste OR texture of potatoes to me so my brain goes “okay guess they’re not potatoes then so they’re cool w me”

Yeah so like, I started writing pokemon fanfic back in ‘07, right? I originally posted stuff on the IGN pokemon boards (wow that was a long time ago), then began posting my stuff on Pokécommunity as well. I met my now-wife in the writing lounge there. We were friends for what...four years I think? And then we did NaNoWriMo together in 2011. We got to talking about more than our stories and then it was suddenly “hey I actually really like you” and “hey I really like you too, let’s make this a thing.”

And we did.

Then came the hardest three years of our lives as we navigated the treacherous terrain of the Long-Distance Relationship. Finally I proposed on this bridge in Finland (where my wife is from: of course we put a lock up). She moved here, we were married in the summer of 2014, and the rest is history!
