How does McCree feel when other people flirt with Hanzo? Does he react to this? If so, would Hanzo notice?

!! So i had to consult the resident actual McCree for this one (softhanzos) but basically !  He wouldn’t be the type of person to just storm over and try to pick a fight or anything, Jesse doesn’t see Hanzo as property ( and vice versa ) and of course they’re comfortable and trusting in their relationship so he knows nothing will come of it! But like, if he notices that Hanzo is getting uncomfortable ( the person isn’t getting the hint or something of the sort ) then he would definitely intervene. Probably slide up beside Hanzo, put an arm around him and maybe just make his presence known. Like just send this little smile over to the other person, it’s his usual charming smile but with a dangerous edge; enough to make the other guy sort of turn tale a bit. Maybe ask Hanzo is okay; sort of like “ well bless your heart, are you alright puddin’ “ or something like that. He’s his usual sweet and charming self, but there’s that edge to him that hopefully drives home the point. Of course afterwards he’s all soft and sweet again, asking hanzo if he’s really okay and hanzo is more amused than anything, but very much thankful and Mccree might just get a little kiss of thanks.

GenYatta: Who developed feelings first? How did they react to this? Did the other notice?

I wanna say Zen actually developed feelings first. Only because Genji must first love himself before he can truly love others, and so Zen held his hand and walked him through everything, and then I suppose towards the end - maybe when it was getting time to leave, and Zen was just assuming this was all unrequited but he’s genuinely happy to have met genji, genji just sort of, sweeps him off his feet in a sense ? Just gives him this big hug, overwhelmed, because it wasn’t until this moment that he’d really ever realised - or had it hit him - that he cared deeper than he had expected about Zen. It transcends close friends or a sort of pupil / master kind of thing. it’s a deep love now, and Zen is of course pleased;  though he had been ready to just leave things as they are and support Genji in spirit regardless. I think it’d be cute if Genji asked zen to travel with him after that.

McHanzo: Who developed feelings first? How did they react to this? Did the other notice?

Hmm, I’ve got two minds for this, tbh, Mostly because I like the idea of them both crushing ? Like I guess most people see Mccree being the one to fall first ? but i definitely have a soft spot for Hanzo being the one to get the crush first and sort of trying to deal with it and seeming normal. Though, I definitely love the idea of them mutually pining after each other, but they both treasure the friendship they’ve managed to establish ? and the trust that they don’t want to risk it. So you’ve got the wistful sighs, and the hands lingering a little longer than normal and leaning against each other with a drink on either side, just relaxing. They’re cherished moments, and i feel like both men would sort of, not expect a love like they have, or like they’d imagine they’d have, given their age and their type of work. It’s a dangerous life, after all. But perhaps that’s what drives them to ultimately confessing; and i think it sort of happens organically. They probably just fall into the routine without either of them really noticing. Of course the reaction would be positive ! they’ve been pining over each other for a good while. They probably both still have no idea what they’d done to deserve the other, but they’re happy for it and cherish it nonetheless.

GenYatta: How do you think they first met? What were their opinions on each other then?

!!! Most likely they met up after Genji left blackwatch. There was that period of time that he sort of wandered around ?  Still angry and not quite accepting of himself. He goes and tries to single-handedly end the shimada clan - when, well, we can see in Dragons that some of them are still around.So i feel like he may have wandered around to Nepal and found himself near the shrines, Zenyatta being the one to notice him, and perhaps sense the “disquiet in his soul” thus wanting to help him. – I think at first Genji didn’t think that highly of Zen, but that’s just a lot of other things clouding his mind; he probably didn’t want the interference of someone poking into his business at the time, but he soon warms up to Zen, finds his presence peaceful I would imagine. — Zen would probably have seen Genji as something akin to a bird with a broken wing ? A sweet little sparrow who has flown to far from home. He’d feel for him, want to help soothe him; and then as they got closer in a personal sense it would be less out of godwill and more out of a genuine comfort and compassion ? I hope that makes sense.

McHanzo: How do you think they first met? What were their opinions on each other then?

!!! WELL, honestly I sort of have around two headcanons for  this ? Maybe three – some are a little more indulgent than others, so I’ll start with the most likely.Given the current overwatch lore, we really only know that Tracer and Winston are part of overwatch, thus Mccree is most likely off doing his bounty hunter stuff and Hanzo is working as a Mercenary; assassin for hire because – of a lot of angsty things that i won’t go into right now. So i definitely see them meeting each other, maybe in a bar or something, while they’re both on the job. Maybe they’re a little bit tipsy and Mccree tries to lay on some smooth talk, Hanzo’s still trying to deal with some issues, but maybe he’s got enough alcohol in him to talk back a little, engage in conversation. Of course Mccree would think Hanzo is gorgeous, because boy howdy he is ! I feel like Hanzo would be attracted to Mccree as well, but he wouldn’t really let himself admit it, even in his own head. But they don’t really know much about each other ! I guess if they bump into each other more and more - or perhaps if they both inevitably meet up at overwatch, they’d recognise each other ( perhaps ? ) and then get to know each other more personally after that. I guess my next big idea - that’s sort of like wishful thinking - would them meeting when they were younger first ! and then meeting up again when they were older. Since we do know that Jesse has gone to Hanamura during his blackwatch days ( to do something with that ramen stand - we saw it in uprising I believe ? ) so maybe while that was going down he had a chance encounter with the hanzo shimada, or maybe genji or both ! I could go into a bit more detail each way, but that would end up with me just rambling on for millennia tbh.
