HAHA YESS... YESSS YOU GET ME!! in general i love a puppy boy x older girl !!!!!!! i can see sakura catching feelings first, especially(talking about the t4t scenario from my og post) seeing tsubaki's resilience as a trans person like him, making accepting oneself for who they are look so easy when he has had trouble with it for his whole life... but imo he wouldn't do anything about it except being painfully obvious about his crush...! also because he knows tsubaki likes ume and he doesn't have enough self esteem to think he could pull her LMAO
the idea of tsubaki indulging him because she thinks her cute kouhai's obvious crush on her is cute ... then slowly catching feelings too... kyaaa~~ giggling and kicking my feet !!!!!!!!!!
Francis, will you stop obsessing over a pairing nobody cares about and spamming the tag with useless shower thoughts? Well, no. (But this post is also for people who don't ship TsubaSaku, I promise.)
Now that we acknowledged the elephant in the room, I just want to say that I NEED a Tsubaki/Sakuya reunion. I have my hopes high that after this arc (which I am loving, mind you) Tsubaki and his Subclasses should come back on stage, together with a lot of characters who just DISAPPEARED in the last year. And while a reunion between Tsubaki and his squad is most likely to be the cutest and most beautiful thing ever, I really want to know what Sakuya's been up to. I came to Servamp after watching the anime, where it comes obvious that he picked Mahiru's side - though this doesn't mean he is /against/ Tsubaki. But the manga gave us a grey area and I just really want to know what he is thinking? Does he regret doubting his position as Tsubaki's Subclass? Does he want to go back to him? Has he been looking for Tsubaki all this time? He could have easily reached for Mahiru if he wanted to, but he didn't - and we don't even know if he has been trying to get in contact again with the other Subclasses.
I really want them to meet again and to clarify Sakuya's position regarding Tsubaki. I don't think it's in Tanaka's plan to disband the Melancholies in any way, to be honest - and, as a personal wish, I would really like a touching moment between Tsubaki and Sakuya, where Sakuya gets angry at Tsubaki for leaving the squad and then eventually admitting that this family is his place, even if he will always care for Mahiru and his friends.
That, and Tsubaki doesn't deserve to be abandoned by one of the people he cares the most about.
(... I just really want my ship to get screentime, okay??)
Today, in stupid ideas with no real consistence jumping into my mind when I should focus on studying: Servamp AU in which Sakuya is Tsubaki's Eve. Which would change a lot of main parts of the story but if healthy relationship Killing Stalking AU exists, so can this one.
- MEETING: It happens like in the original series; but when they meet at the swing Tsubaki gives Sakuya a red camellia as a memento of his promise: "I'll come pick you up when the moment comes." In this case, he doesn't mean when Sakuya dies but when he is old enough to be a strong Eve for him.
- HOW DID SAKUYA BECOME AN EVE: When Sakuya's parents try to throw him out of the balcony, Tsubaki appears and asks Sakuya if he wants to avenge his sister and punish this town of liars. Sakuya, in tears and blind with fury, accepts any condition to do so; when the vampire asks him to give him a gift and a name, Sakuya calls him Tsubaki (remembering the dried camellia he still keeps in his room) and gives him the first object at hand - namely, a thin iron bracelet he was wearing that day. Tsubaki committed a mass homicide that day.
- Tsubaki wears said bracelet on his "prosthetic" arm so that it's hidden under the sleeve and pretty much safe from any danger.
- Tsubaki convinced Sakuya to let him drink his blood with a trick. Sakuya had no idea for a long time that the first contract lasts only 24 hours, and that a contract can actually be broken.
- When Sakuya was first introduced to Tsubaki's Subclasses, most of them didn't like him because they were jealous of his special relationship with their Servamp. Higan and Otogiri are to this days the only ones who don't find Sakuya an annoying brat, though the tension eased considerably since then.
- Tsubaki still wants to start a vampire war and looked for an Eve to unlock his power to full potential, but Sakuya is so apathetic about life that the Servamp ended up with an unmotived Eve. We all know what that does. But because Tsubaki honestly cares about Sakuya, he refuses to follow his subclasses' suggestions and let the boy be eaten by Melancholy (see what was going to happen to Mahiru in ep 4).
- At first Sakuya accepted to partecipate to the war and help Tsubaki only because he didn't know what to do of his life and he was scared somebody would kick him in prison for murdering his parents (even if technically Tsubaki did everything). But when he entered Tsubaki to get his weapon, he stuck his head in places he wasn't supposed to and saw Tsubaki's past - and then he got really committed to the Servamp's cause too.
- Sakuya's weapon are flying daggers. I didn't find them a fancy name yet though.
- Sakuya moved to Mahiru's school after he flew away from his hometown with Tsubaki. When he found out his bestfriend was Sloth's Eve, Hell broke loose. In this one, his moral conflict isn't about "Tsubaki saved me, and as his Subclass I cannot disobey him" but "I saw inside Tsubaki and I can't betray him, but I am slowly realizing that this war might be a very bad idea."
- Sakuya might or might not have tried to committ suicide to break the contract at one point, but Tsubaki didn't allow him.
Might add more in the future or even write a real fanfiction, but now I should REALLY go back to study.
Why does nobody talk about the fact that Sakuya can threaten Tsubaki without fearing any reaction from him? If he wanted, Tsubaki could easily make Sakuya stop being an ass - instead he actually gets scared (and probably sad, because he is that kind of huge baby) when Sakuya glares at him or tortures that poor stuffed fox, because he would never /think/ of getting back on Sakuya. Well, not in a dangerous way - those farting pillows are another matter and a totally legit payback against rebellious Subclasses.
