I went and read an old FrUK fic of mine, one that I remembered being sort of, eh. Meh. Kinda boring maybe? I don't know. I sometimes (rarely) get email notifications of someone favouriting it on f f.net, and I always thought, nice, but why?
But, a couple of days back, I got it into me to go and read some of my old FrUK fics. It's been over a decade.
So I went and read this one, and - it was good? It was actually really good? I didn't really even remember much about it, other than the general outlines of it, that's how meaningless it was to me before, at least in my memory. So there were a couple of points that I had forgotten and that actually really struck a chord in me. What on earth. I was SO ahead of myself back then.
It's been so long since I've written fic, and today, for the first time in ages, I feel like I could unlock that in myself again.
